Tom brings extensive technical network & leadership experience with both start-ups and large corporations. As ex-Chief Technical Officer of WorldCom and other communication carriers, Tom has lead teams in developing, implementing, and managing software development and network services for a diverse number of industry verticals. His enterprise experience extends to monetizing data center services, ensuring security centric network compliance, and supporting client migrations to public, private and hybrid clouds as part of their digital transformation and modernization away from legacy platforms.
Tom has built, owned, and operated Tier -3 data centers globally and dark fiber infrastructure for Google, Tyco, and federal government agencies. He has also worked with the National Science Foundation (NSF) and the National Institute of Health (NIH) on implementing global solutions with Research University grants to build0 out next generation peering networks in Africa and across Europe.
